Moira McKee is certified member in good standing and nationwide lecturer on the Appraisal of Fine Art and Antiques with the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group (CPPAG), completing accreditation in Appraisal Studies in Fine & Decorative Arts at New York University (NYU), Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), M.A. (Hons) Art History and Curatorial Studies from Western University (UWO), and B.A. (Hons) Art History and Criticism from Western University (UWO). With extensive, ongoing experience and education within the realms of fine and decorative arts, gallery and auction house settings since 2005, EXCAVO provides clients with appraisals written to professional standards to meet diverse requirements.

Appraisal Cost
For certified written appraisals for the above, our fee is $150.00/hour plus HST, with a one hour minimum.
For clients located outside of London, a mileage charge of 70¢/km is added (no HST).
Alternately, images can be emailed or shared via Google Drive. I ask that you include:
1) Photo of the front
2) Photo of the back
3) Photo (detail) of signature
4) Dimensions (HxW in inches)
5) Receipts, provenance or other pertinent information

Donation of Certified Cultural Property
Certified Cultural Property is described by Revenue Canada as a property of outstanding significance and national importance to Canada. Certified cultural property donations bring the greatest tax benefits, as they are not subject to capital gains tax.
Fee: $200.00/hr + HST + 70¢/km mileage
Expert Witness Court Appearance
These cases require a specialized approach to provide a testimony and unbiased opinion on the value of assets in court.
I specialize in testifying during divorce proceedings.
Fee: $2,000.00/day + HST + 70¢/km mileage
Consulting for Sale or Purchase
I positioning works within the contemporary art market to maximize the sale price achieved on behalf of clients, coordinating with auction houses to negotiate reserve price and commission rates, maximizing my contact base within auction houses regionally and internationally to place a piece in the most appropriate sale, while arranging packing, insurance, and shipping.
I have over a decade of expertise advising HNW clients, commercial enterprises, auction houses and cultural institutions within the realms of art, luxury, and culture. Working with clients from across the globe on collecting and art investment, specializing in both short and long-term advice to buyers and sellers, alongside valuations, collection management, industry intelligence, and art market analysis.
Fee: 4% of sale/purchase price
